Advanced Warehousing (WMS), Manufacturing, and Quality in D365 F&O

Quality requirements in GMP manufacturing can be strict and complex to manage in D365 F&O. While the quality control module has come a long way in recent years, there are still many shortcomings with it as it relates to manufacturing and warehousing.

  • I walk alongside clients to bridge the gaps between manufacturing, warehousing, and quality. With over four years of experience in GMP regulated environments, I have a keen understanding of best practices that can make quality control fluid while minimizing the burden on operations.

Supply Chain Solutions Steeped in ‘Lean Methodology’

Deploying advanced warehousing functions within operations typically comes at the cost of incurring extra clicks, complexity, and time.

  • I believe in deploying the ‘Right’ solution rather than the “Fast” solution, which in my experience has led me to designs centered on ‘lean' principles.

    • Removing needless clicks

    • Minimizing time leading up to work execution

    • Reducing lead/cycle time

    • Automating non value added functions

  • In 2024 I was selected to present a the Dynamics Community Summit NA conference where I shared ways to leverage the production control and advanced warehousing modules to rapidly reduce the lead time in process manufacturing.

Functional Consulting, Business Analysis, and Reporting Support

Often times I’ve found that core processes within manufacturing and warehousing are tweaked as end users get past go live and into stabilization. New requirements are identified, different challenges arise, and what used to be the “Best” solution won’t cut it anymore.

  • I have spent my 6 years of experience in D365 F&O collaborating with partners and end users. As my clients have grown and matured within D365 so have their needs, and I’m proud to walk with them through that transition:

    • Train internal analysts and create internal documentation to reduce reliance on external support

    • Implement configuration / customizations to avoid the need for independent software vendors (ISV’s)

    • Support report design and creation to reduce manual data reporting
